A good psychic will not be motivated by your money, but rather to help you. He or she should be guided by their spirit; they should not strive for power or have an inflated opinion of themselves. It is often very difficult seperate genuine psychics from the fake ones, because fake psychics are so numerous.
Evaluating a psychic's interaction with his or her client is a good way to determine their legitimacy. If he spends most of the time observing the client, keeps his eyes open, and has an attentive look on his face, then chances are he is reading the client. This means he is studying his client's body language and non-verbal details instead of reading the client's future. A genuine psychic, on the other hand, would probably spend the majority of the time with eyes closed and would ask only a few questions.
The psychic should do most of the talking, not the client. Psychics who carry out long, drawn-out conversations are generally fake and trying to gather personal information from you without you realizing it. So be wary of a psychic who asks you details of your first memory, your dog's name or other small personal details - it is all an effort to get to know you. A genuine psychic does not need to know such details, as he would be able to create the psychic connection to discover them.
